Milan Report: Burberry Prorsum 2009

Christopher Bailey continues to transform the British brand, Burberry Prorsum, from its past. However, with fall 2009, Bailey references the first creations of the brand using the identifiable over sized checks that consisted in shirts, cabled knits sweaters, and scarves. White cotton washed shirts complimented the hefty pea coats that were detailed in structure but shy in variety. Pinstripe trousers finished the look of strong velvet blazers accented with Fair Isle cummerbunds. Overall, Prorsum showcased a knowledgeable man who has proclaimed the victory of overcoming his past while never leaving the lesson of his heritage too far behind.
