Jil Sander New Owner

Jil Sander has landed another new owner. On Monday Change Capital Partners announced that it will sell Jil Sander to Onward Holdings Co. Ltd., an apparel group listed in Tokyo and Gibo Co. SpA. The deal will cost $244.1 million dollars and is expected to be finalized shortly.

Jil Sander for Sale?

In the midst of economic downturn, the luxury market is trending at a growth in revenue. However, the Fashion Week Daily reported that the brand Jil Sander maybe up for sale by Change Capital Partners for an alleged $235.5 million. The brand was recently brought from Prada SpA in February of 2006. Our question is will Jil Sander endure another senior management switch cohesively or is this brand in trouble? Stay tuned..
